Which LinkedIn premium subscription should I buy? (Job Seeker or Business Plus)
Hi,
I had Linkedin premium (the cheapest version) a while ago when I was searching for a new job and it was helpful with sending people inmails for tough to find email addresses and the search capability was a little better than the free version.
I'm looking for a new job again and was scouring LinkedIn for people to reach out to when LinkedIn took me to a page saying I could not see anymore search results since I'd reached my max for the month (...this was yesterday on the 3rd of the month). It won't even show me suggested profiles on the right hand side of people's profiles anymore.
I have a pretty solid list of people to reach out to now, but my response rate hasn't been great so I'm worried I'll need more contacts to reach out to.
Wondering if someone with the Job Seeker account would chime in and let me know if it is sufficient for searching for people with things in common with me (school, fraternity, etc.) to reach out to. LinkedIn implies that only Business Plus and above have unlimited searches, but not sure if I truly need "unlimited".
Price difference is $47/mo vs. $30/mo, you get 15 inmails a month for $47 vs. 3 inmails with the $30 plan. 15 is probably overkill since I prefer to use email but Inmail can be helpful sometimes.
They are pitching a free trial for the first month but if I remember correctly they bill on the 15th of the month, but I'd be cheating myself a little. I'd like to start right away, however, since I have a lull at work and want to get the most out of networking in August and September. Ideally I have a new job by November, so I'd only use it for a few months.
Thanks!
