Which offer to take?
Hello.
I am choosing between two different graduate offers. My ultimate goal is to work in a global macro hedge fund.
S&T at a BB
L/S at a big multi-manager HF
On the one hand, I really don't enjoy fundamental equity investing, I very much prefer macro-driven strategies, which makes me prefer the S&T offer (where I'm likely to get on a FICC trading desk). On the other hand, the opportunity to directly start on the buy-side at a reputable shop is very tempting, but I wonder if I risk getting pigeonholed in Long-Short/Equity strategies.
Thank you.
