In the wake of Abraaj, and with other MFs having pulled emerging markets strategies in the past couple years (e.g., KKR's dissolution of its Africa fund), which funds still have EM / FM strategies or funds in place? What is you opinion of such strategies? Does anyone here have experience working for such a fund?

Thanks, saconsult3 ! This is great. Actually I have an opportunity to go work for an EM team of a MF, but it would be located outside the US, in one of the markets in which they invest. While I'm mostly game for it, it is still a relative risk (what if I'm never able to make it back to NY/London or a similar "real" city?). I'd love to hear your (and others') thoughts on such a move.
