Which sophomore internship would be valued more highly to MF analyst recruiting?
Which of these two internships would be more valuable if I want to recruit for MFs in my junior summer?
One is with the direct private equity group of a large pension fund. The other is with a large PE fund of funds (think Harbourvest, Adams Street).
Go with the direct private equity group at the pension fund, more applicable experience
Seconded on the direct. If it was a small shop I'd go with the fof, but given the size, the pension fund's probably the way to go.
