Which tie color/style with light grey suit and white shirt?

Have a couple interviews coming my way soon. Was wondering what'd go best with a light grey suit (http://media.burton.co.uk/wcsstore/Burton/images/catalog/BUNDLE_GYCHECK… but maybe a tad darker) and white shirt of these:

Also, brown shoes are kosher with a grey suit, correct?

lol please wear that to an interview...I'm sure they can use the laugh

There really are some interviewers like this out there, and it's unfortunate. But most of them won't care as long as you are genuinely likeable, bright, and eager. All too often it's the kids with the perfect suit that come across as insufferable, and therefore get the most laughs.

Suit isn't ideal but if he already has it it won't be the dealbreaker unless he gets unlucky with an interviewer that clearly has mixed up priorities. There will be plenty of time to learn about the right suits before becoming a senior banker when it will actually matter.

We all know that each interviewer is a different animal all their own. I personally wouldn't risk it and like I said, they can use the laugh and may brush it off as innocence as opposed to ignorance...but I wouldn't try it.

I don't think there is a dress recommendation anywhere that states anything other than navy or dark grey suit.

If the glove don't fit, you must acquit!

I don't think the suit is appropriate for an interview either. However, tie #1 is the nicest, and I agree with mb666 that walnut shoes would be best. Navy shoes would be okay with that outfit too though.

Should've pointed out that I only linked that suit picture for the purpose of giving you an idea of my suit's color. The actual design/style itself is the conservative normal one (kind of embarrassing I don't know what it's called, I know). And I know grey isn't the most ideal suit color, but it's all I've got for the time being. Working some odd jobs around campus next term - I'm a college freshman - and a new suit's on my list of future procurements.

So there's 1 vote for each tie? Would all three be fine then?

From those three I like this one the best: http://www.thetiebar.com/order_page.asp?pn=14595&orderPageReturn=%2Fcat…

If you're a freshman no one is going to expect you to be that well dressed. That said I would recommend quality dress shirts over quantity... shirts are the most noticeable.

If you're that hard up, I would honestly borrow a decent tie. Also jos a bank can set you up quickly for cheap but might not be ready in time. being a freshmen, i'm sure you'll get more leeway.

^^^Do you think they'll go that hard on me about suits for small PWM fund internships? Twenty dollars here and there isn't a very big deal; a couple hundred for a new suit kind of is, especially since I'm in the process of losing a few pounds and don't know what sizes I'll be in a few months.

No tie. The suit alone is perfect enough for operations

“The Chinese use two brush strokes to write the word 'crisis.' One brush stroke stands for danger; the other for opportunity. In a crisis, be aware of the danger--but recognize the opportunity.”

I'm not convinced this ensemble is the best combination for you. Unless you are really thin with a very slight build, the patterning will just get lost completely. Go with the stripes if these are your only three choices, but I would reconsider everything. Too much patterning on the suit, looks ill-fitting etc. Brown shoes is such a fine line too, maybe just stick with black to be safe.
