Which track to choose in extra accounting study? Doing an internship? How should I proceed?

Hello!

I would really like to get some advice/tips/comments whether I am going in the right direction.

My goal is to work as a financial analyst (hopefully equity) either in IB or AM, what I personally really like to do is to dig in financial statements and analyse inidividual businesses.

Next to the MSc Finance and Investments I am also doing the MSc in Accountancy as an extra study and still have the option to choose between the 2 tracks they offer, the professional track or the CFA track (the other accounting related courses I have completed last year and these were originally the reason why I choose accountancy as an extra study). However, some of the courses in the CFA track I will also get as part of the MScFI (Empirical methods, investment analysis, financial statement analysis). The courses offered in the 2 tracks that differ are as followed:

Professional track (RA/RC)
Elective 1:
Advanced Management Accounting
or Financial statement Analysis

Compulsory electives:
Advanced Accounting Information Systems
Financial information in capital markets
Advanced Auditing

CFA track
Compulsory electives:
Financial statement Analysis
Emperical methods in Finance
Financial Analysis and Investment
Investment Analysis

I am wondering how valuable the courses of the professional track will be for me, will they help me in understanding financial posititions of businesses better? Allthough some of the courses of the CFA track overlap with my other study, it will take me less time to finish the study so that I will have some time left to maybe do an internship for a few days per week so that i can finally get some work experience. Or would it be better to stop with my second study completely, only do finance and investments and focus on getting an internnship during the year next to my study? would that be more valuable for my resume/knowledge etc?

All comments/advice are very welcome!
