Which university would set me up better?
Hello everyone,
After applying to universities in both the US and UK, i've narrowed my choices down to Wharton or LSE. If i decide to go to LSE, i will be studying Maths and Econ and will do something very similar if i do decide to go to Wharton.
I would in the future like to work in finance/IB/business and was wondering which university would set me up the best if i would like to work in the far east and australia?
I know i probably cannot go wrong with either however in terms of networking, brand name (I'm assuming that uni brand name matters in investment banking) which university would be better?

Im assuming Wharton would have a better global name, but your right both would be great. Seeing as your not aiming to be placed the City I'd pick Wharton.
Glad to see you've narrowed your choices to only 2 of the top uni's in the world.
I think this is a fairly easy decision based on where you'd like to work. Obviously, both schools have tremendous cachet globally, but one is an American school and the other a European. If you'd like to work in New York (or elsewhere in the U.S.), Wharton is going to give you all you could hope for. If you'd like to work in Europe, LSE is more prominent. Relatively straightforward here.
What about if i want to work in Asia and Australia?
Seriously, you can't go wrong either way. If you don't find a job, it won't be because of the school. At this point I would be deciding based on which uni I would enjoy going to more.
go to wharton if you are set on finance, do an exchange in Europe to see what its like over here during that time and if you want to work in London you should be able to
