who buys global equities?
At what net worth do people typically start buying into markets outside of mainly the US and not just through funds? I imagine an average US college grad for example would have a hard time trying to buy specific stocks in Indonesia or France or even Canada, and paperwork/taxes alone would be quite a headache. Anyone know much about this? Or has this become less and less of a barrier over time?
I’m a pretty inexperienced trader so maybe someone can answer this better. That being said I run a 3 fund portfolio with some of my assets being allocated to international markets. ETF’s for foreign markets are not expensive at all and only have a slightly higher expense ratio than a domestic ETF. If you have a job you can probably afford some shares.
Double post

Lol fair, I did say I was a beginner
ADR is a very common alternative.
