But also just as curious in seeing the reaction of the Heat if they dont win it. Although the playoffs have been a little bit of a letdown thus far (brutal games the last few days), it should get real interesting from here on out.
If Heat lose this season, I could see them shipping out Dwyane Wade. If it was me, I would be a little pissed about how analysts, journalists, etc are completely overlooking Wade. Heard someone say on air that LeBron is SO much better then Wade. Interesting, especially considering just 2 years ago, they were considered equals.
Yeah I heard Kenny Smith say that too. He basically said that there was no need for the pacers to worry about Wade and they need to focus all attention on Lebron. I was like WTF, didn't Wade win a ring WITHOUT Lebron just a few years ago? Has LBJ ever won a ring? The NBA "analysts" (really just big dumb ex-nba players) are retarded.

How about never missing more than 7 games in a season in his career. How about being able to completely shut down anyone he guards, from Derrick Rose to Amare Stoudemire, that means shutting down the league "MVP" PG as well as a PF. How about completely destroying the Bulls last year in the conference semi-finals. How about averaging 33.2 P/48 in close and late situations. How about being the most complete player in the NBA since Michael Jordan. How about that his lowest FG% of the last three years is higher than Durant, Kobe, or DRose's highest. Any of that good enough for you?
As an aside, I'm a Lakers fan and will be rooting for the Lakers until they inevitably lose to the Thunder. After that, I'll root for the Heat and the assured apologies forthcoming from Skip Bayless if they win the championship.

You're right. Adam Morrison has a ring (two actually) so he's clearly better. Robert Horry has like 5 so he's also better. Bill Russell has 11 so he's the best player ever.
Also, does anyone else find it funny and indicative of how far ESPN has fallen that for the past two years everyone on ESPN has been talking about how Chris Bosh is not that good and basically calling him an overpriced slouch, and now that he's gone down all they're talking about is how the Heat can't win without him.
He could have easily put up the same numbers he's putting up now if he stayed in Cleveland and he would have commanded the respect of fans the world over for sticking it out on his hometown team. If he wins just one ring as a Cav, it would mean more than all the rings he'll win as a member of the Heat combined. Also, he left Cleveland high and dry by just bouncing in free agency instead of being upfront with them and giving them time to put together a sign-and-trade deal. Kind of a shitty move by Lebron.
bosh is an overpriced slouch. only reason he was missed cuz they have no one else. u can put brandon bass or UD * 2, they would do just fine.

Based in the West Coast here. OKC is the only respectable team left for me to root for, so go them! Would also be pleased with upsets in both Eastern Conference semis right now, that would be pretty cool too.
Honestly, even though I don't particularly care for the Spurs either, I just wanna see the Clippers suffer an agonizing defeat (sweep?), then I'll be happy. All that championship business is just an afterthought.

Look, Lebron carried a team to the finals with the second best player being a guy who would barely start on any other team. Jordan can whine and bitch all he wants about 'I would never have done that' yea well why would he? He had Pippen and Rodman already. He had his Wade and Bosh.
This whole argument about rings is stupid too. Like a guy can't be good without having a ring. I guess Dan Marino was a shitty quarterback and Adam Morrison is twice the player Lebron is? Give me a fucking break.

The Bulls didn't start out that way though, and Jordan stuck through it for quite some time before he won his first ring. He could have whined about having less support much earlier in his career and buddy up with Isiah Thomas or someone to win it earlier - the point is, he didn't. Even when there was Pippen, when the Bulls first won they weren't the top contender for the ring.
There's no argument on LeBron's skill - the guy is clearly very gifted, arguably the most gifted and talented since MJ graced the hardwood. But the difference is their approach, confidence and how they want to win. LeBron just wants to get the ring, regardless of the means. MJ was always the go-to guy, and he wanted to be that guy that personally f**ks up his competition. LeBron choked all over the place last year (Dirk was amazing, but the Heat really had no excuse for losing last year). Jordan in the same position (as you can see from his past stats during playoffs) would have never allowed it regardless of how his teammates played.
No one says Lebron sucks, and I don't honestly fault him for going to Miami. MJ did have Pippin and Rodman and Cartwright and some of the best role players of the 90's. It was the way Lebron left Cleveland that really pissed people off. Say what you want about the actual Decision show, (I've had this argument a million times, he gave the money to charity, it was ESPN's idea....) the fact is he pretty much fucked over Cleveland. A sign and trade on Lebron would have set the Cavs up for a couple good years (although probably without Kyrie Irving). When Melo left Denver he left them with a Playoff caliber team. It was a classless way to go out of Cleveland, and something MJ would never have done. There is a case to be made that he was right to leave Cleveland and right to go to Miami, but he built up so much hype around himself (I want to be a billion dollar athelete, I want 8 rings etc) that he set himself up to fail. He just comes off as a child. Someone who is very hard to root for, and very easy to hate.
