"Why did you choose your school?"
Pretty much a question that comes up in every interview I've had at the intern level. While I've given the typical BS answer of "culture" and whatnot it is not true but it's worked out thus far. I'm married(no kids, not now not ever), have a house, and in my late 20s and picked my school because my wife got a job offer in the area that allows us to live comfortably while I focus solely on school and recruiting. It's a shit state school, but hasn't hindered my ability to get interviews.
So my question is this: should I tailor my response to be more truthful? How would you recommend phrasing an answer without getting too personal? Should I address the fact that I know it's not a "prestigious" school but there were other factors I had to take into consideration when picking a school?
just say for personal financial reasons? I don't think they'll look down on you for that
I don't think there's a correct answer to this question. They just want to see what your decision process looks like and how you think
