Why do people list "student" under the experience section of their online profiles?
Is it me, or do you guys think it's really stupid looking to see someone's profile, and under the "Experience" section they list "Student" or "MBA Candidate?" Also, I'm looking forward to who could have the meanest/funniest comment about me lmao
I've always assumed people do it to show that there's no gap in their employment, and to specifically highlight the fact that they were in school while they weren't working
Right... but if your resume/profile lists "Student at XYZ University, 2014 - 2018" under the education section, isn't that obvious?
If you don’t scroll all the way down to their education section and see that the years they got their MBA (if they even have that listed) matches their employment gap you might not realize they were in school not just unemployed
INCEL
Then let's hear the answer...
Because they have a strange fear of gaps in the resume.
My graduate school "experience" is in the education section where it belongs
Good.
