Why does the jobs from job boards like Indeed.com pay so much less than what the people on this site claim to make?
I hear people on this site makes hundreds of thousands of dollars a year straight out of college! People age 22-25 making $200k+ a year. However, when I go to indeed.com to apply for a job, all I see are $50k-$70k a year jobs for people in finance WITH 3-5 years of related experience. Some of these analyst jobs even pay as low as <$20 an hour. Also, if you go to a finance/accounting job agency, its even worse. They will only pay you $15/hour because they take part of your paycheck.
Where are the people on this site getting their high paying jobs from? I want to make millions of dollars before I hit 30 years old too!
Campus recruiting + networking. Also nowadays, some firms have early professional programs to capture talent who missed CR and are too green for an MBA.
High paying finance jobs don’t just post jobs randomly for early career folks.
It also depends on the majority of postings you look at on that site at that specific moment in time. I have seen BB job postings in other markets that match the WSO salary guide.
But, as said above, not every job will be posted on indeed or monster
