Why would anyone listen to a man with no technical knowledge, but good imagination?

I've met and know a lot of CS guys and they are extremely imaginative .Even my friend who is a CS major is very well in tuned with CS. However, if you do not have any STEM knowledge or skills, why would smart people listen to you. Nowadays, it's not as rare as you think for these STEM guys to execute on their own ideas.

This should be one of the fears of even great managers.
Times are different NOW, so please don't try to use OLD examples.
