Will doing SWE internships freshman and sophomore year hurt my recruiting prospects?

I'm a freshman studying CS and Econ at HYPSM. Went into college with no connections, and didn't know I had to network seriously in order to get internships freshman year. Long story short, I currently have no offers for IB/PE firms, but I do have a few SWE offers; should I take them, or keep reaching out to small PE firms? Would having a background in SWE give me any advantage for TMT groups at the top banks for my junior year? The other reason I'm asking this is that if I were to continue with SWE and grind Leetcode at my current pace, I believe I have a strong shot at a FAANG sophomore SWE internship, and I was wondering if that would be more advantageous in junior IB recruiting than a generic sophomore finance internship. I have no interest in a career in SWE, but if SWE internships help me get into BB IBD, I'll do them. Thoughts?
