Hey guys, I got myself stuck in a dilemma the other day at work. I have been interning at a boutique bank for the past month and a half and I have this playful borderline flirtatious relationship with my married co-worker. Yesterday, in an attempt to mess around with her I decided to hide behind a corner in an attempt to scare her when she walked by. Well I heard footsteps so I jumped out and yelled "BOO". It turns out, it wasn't my co-worker but my managing partner and he ended up spilling coffee all over himself.
After the incident I apologized profusely and he seemed ok but I can't shake the feeling that something bad will happen. Do you guys have any advice? Do you think I'll be fired?

Just tell him you were actually testing him by pretending to be FINRA. Clearly he's not prepared and should promote you for bringing up an important organizational weakness
Good news, you cannot be fired because you are obviously part of a protected class and that would be discriminatory.
How long is this internship for? I don't think you'll get fired (especially if you're near the end of it) just cause it's less trouble to let you continue than to fill out paperwork or get HR involved to push you out early. But you certainly made an impression on the managing partner.
Just make sure you work extra hard and stop flirting on your married coworker.
You likely won't be fired, but he will always view you in a negative light (unless he is also the type of person who does that stuff). Have to leave that type of stuff at home, amigo.
