Withdrawing application and reapplying?

So, I made a silly and stupid mistake on one of my online application forms (the supplement to OCR). I decided to withdraw my application and reapply with a different email address. The reason being that I applied to two locations and the firm only lets you do 3 applications in total (withdrawals use up an application).

Do you think they will catch it given that it is so early in the SA recruiting process and that the applications are pretty much the same (very minor change, not to CV or cover letter - just one of the "Yes/No" responses to questions)? Was this a bad move?

IBDaspirations:

I withdrew both my applications with my original one and then reapplied to both with the new account. Doesn't that mean that they won't see my applications from the first account at all?

depends, if its MS they will know for sure... some other banks as well... unless you changed your name, address, phone, etc.

I am not sure what is a legal name change. Do you mean could I change the name on the application?

I changed the name and e-mail address of the existing account. But since I submitted and withdrew the application, I can't change those on the application.

They should look at the most recent version of everything you submit, but there's no guarantee that they haven't already looked at your old files. If you can find someone at HR to contact, I would mention this to them and just check in to make sure that they've got your updated files, after you submit them online.
