Working at a ~$300mn fund ?

Currently a 1st year IB analyst approaching 2nd year. Got reached out by a headhunter about this research analyst opportunity at a ~$300mn fund. Strategy is global macro.

Fund was established less than 5 years ago. Haven't talked too much about the opportunity yet.

Sectors are okay, not the most interesting to me but interesting enough to keep me hooked.

Is that something you guys would recommend? What should I think about when interviewing with this fund?

Is it discretionary macro not quant? A big issue there is that even if returns are good it's a rapidly shrinking sector with scarce inflows. I would diligence the firm's AUM growth and if it's going to be able to actually scale as well as the careers of former analysts of the PM. In the hedge fund ecosystem it's the style that's doing the worst so I would be extra cautious.
