Working at a Regional USA firm in TAS - want an oppurtunity to work abroad, what is my best option for this

Not sure if this is the right place, I currently am a Senior in the TAS group of a regional accounting firm in the USA. A goal of mine is to have the opportunity to work abroad at some point in my life. What would be the best way to make this happen?

I'm thinking the obvious answer would be to get a job at a global firm doing the same work, then put in for a transfer? any suggestions is appreciated. (I currently have no designations CPA / CFA, etc..)
