Working for a non-RE firm
What are your thoughts on working for a non-RE firm as an analyst? For example, working for a firm doing site selection, construction budgeting/ assiting Development Managers, lease and market analysis, for the firm looking for new sites? I see a lot of these jobs but I'm not sure if this would be a dead end career wise and no exits to say Development.
It sounds like you're looking at Corporate Real Estate jobs. I'd google search it to learn a bit more about the roles. It's basically the RE version of FP&A for a company.
I couldn't tell you if they're dead end but there are some people on this forum who do work in Corporate.
