Workplace slander, should I care?

My reputation is completely tarnished at my workplace due to this one piece of shit spreading false rumours about me to frame me as being sexist, incompetent, lazy and a manipulative backstabber. Dude has personal vendetta against me and created false scenarios and twisted the truth of true scenarios to make me seem like an evil person. I don't even know how people are so gullible to believe mere rumours of storytelling with absolutely 0 backing. Should I care or move on?

You better resolve this shit - workplace reputation can follow you around. Fight back and discredit. Good luck.

Dude, what?!  Get some self respect and start GAF. To show you have self respect, you have three options.
1. kick his ass after work

2. spread slander about him (you have to be likable, suave, and high EQ to counter convincingly)

3. Record his lies, gather incontestable refutations of these lies, and bring them to HR to get him fired.

All of these work, one of them has to be done or your crap reputation will carry to other firms in your industry.

I vote for 1. Kiss his ass, Seabass.

Confront him after work and let him know what’s on your mind. Tell him to end it immediately and to stop acting like a hoe. Only women gossip around the office like that.

If you do this, you have to make clear two things.

1. if he tells anyone at the office you’re responsible for his black eye/mashed face/broken fibula, you’ll do it again.
2. if he has you arrested, you have boys on the outside who’ll do it again.

Secure examples in writing (email). Accumulate a few. Also gather anonymous verbal examples from close colleagues if you can (carefully, don’t need to clue them in on your plans). Evaluate what you have. Go to HR, flag abusive behavior impacting your self-worth, is completely unacceptable / unnecessary in the workplace, incongruent with firm values (why you joined). Say you feel specifically targeted but have heard them make negative comments about other people in passing. Say you’d want the behavior to stop so you can limit distractions. Ask HR if you should confront X yourself or is an official channel / someone else more approach. Make sure HR knows you have documented these occurrences and have talked to mentors/parents about it (bonus if you can work in that they are lawyers). Also can be helpful to talk to a senior mentor within the firm about it and let them know you plan to contact HR. They may warm up HR for you. Hope this helps. Sorhappening.

Kiss his ass, do random acts of kindness for this guy, make it seem like you like him, to get him to shut his mouth and spread even worse rumors about him

This begs the question of how you got yourself in this situation in the first place. You conveniently left out of your post how it came to be that someone has a "personal vendetta" against you. Maybe instead of conjuring these narcissistic and grand revenge plots, take this as an opportunity to reflect on yourself, your personality, and what you did wrong to become so hated, because this is not normal. And have you even tried talking to the guy?

I've not mentioned anything about revenge plots anywhere in my post, why would you assume that from my post in the very first place. I was merely contemplating on whether I should clear my name as he undeservingly destroyed my reputation, or simply let it go.
