Would this annoy HR?

Hi guys,

I need some advice regarding an office position that I applied for at a bank. This particular bank outsources their HR services which includes the hiring process. So last week (Monday), I completed a phone interview, which I thought went well. The person said he would pass on my application to the hiring manager. No one called. I was told that I’d receive a call within 48 hours for an in-person interview. I waited 72 hours before emailing the HR guy to find out when I should expect a response and he said someone will contact me next week (this week). The job position begins next week so I’m getting a little worried as it’s now mid-week. What should I do? Should I send him another email as to what’s going on? Or will that seem annoying?

Like I said, the position begins next week... Would calling him be better?

Looking forward to any advice. Thanks

Dealing with HR generally sucks, I can't even imagine dealing with an outsourced HR dept. Call them and ask to speak with someone else than the clown who you spoke with last time. Call them all day until you get your interview
