Would you attach this recommendation?
I got a reference letter from my former supervisor who says a number of good things about me but he also mentions that I'm 'opinionated' and good at achieving 'well defined' targets.
Does that come across as a bad or a good thing?
I'm aiming to apply for junior level positions in a business consulting firm.
Well, seeing that as a consultant, your sole purpose is to generate opinions that help companies achieve well-defined targets, I'd say it's a good thing.
Seriously? You really gotta ask this dumb question?
To me there is a contradiction in this sentencing: if you have a strong opinion you should not be limited to only being able to achieve 'well defined' targets. It sounds like you can make up your mind but not set targets on your own (which is not even true for me).
I think I will throw this reference letter to the bin.
ps.: don't be rude.
Those are almost the definition of back-handed compliments.
