Ask ppl in your school that have gone through recruiting.

I've asked around a lot and lots of information I can recalling reading on WSO. As long as it's not a sketchy user with 2 banana points (i.e look for legit users' posts) then you should be fine, but always take anything with a grain of salt.

KKS:

If you can sift through the BS, WSO is pretty good. Pay special attention to people with stars next to their name.

I would say that WSO has been extremely helpful in informing me about the general landscape of the industry and how to get into the industry. Once you start getting into "JP BEST GROUP" or stuff about how a random college kid wants to get into MF PE it becomes markedly less useful.

Certified users and some non-certified users are. You need to spend some time on the forums and figure out which people are legit. In the trading forum I'd say there are definitely over 10 legit (and active) users at least. People also tend to have certain "expertise" fields, so you need to get a feel for what people know about and therefore who to trust or who to ask questions through PM about certain subjects. The people who know about everything tend not to be very reliable... Also, people will tend not to reply to threads ranking desks or schools or compensation , because it's just idiotic in 99% of the cases.
