Writing a fall internship's responsibilities on resume before starting to appear more attractive for spring/summer recruiting?

I'm starting an internship at a private equity search fund in Boston in September, but I realize that recruiting/networking season has started a while ago.

I know there are some threads where posters condemn future interns who put "Incoming Analyst at BB 2019" on their resume/LinkedIn, calling it tacky. In my case however, having little to no finance experience on my resume makes me realllly want to get something on my CV to use when applying for Spring/Summer stints.

Would it be acceptable to put "Private Equity Intern at XYZ .... Fall 2018" on my resume? Also, would I be able to list the responsibilities? I especially want to do the latter since I know not many people know what search funds are/that their interns do a lot of the same work/modeling that IB Analysts do. I looked at all of the past interns' LinkedIn pages and they're basically the same as each other, not indicating that intern's responsibilities at the firm are generally the same throughout. Each intern's LinkedIn lists responsibilities like "providing valuation analysis" (DCF, LBO modeling, comps), preparing CIM, LOI, and IOI documents, as well as utilizing platforms like CapIQ for deal sourcing. Having little to no financial experience, I'm sure these responsibilities would be beneficial to have on my resume in the thick of recruiting season.
