Holy shit... someone reaching out for help who is actually at a target school and has a shot. My lawd and you upped the ante with merely asking to be pointed in the right direction or seeking networking.

I would urge all of WSO to bow their heads in silence, to celebrate this moment.

UNC studnet here. Talk to upperclassmen, not WSO. For the purpose of OCR, read up on interview guides and talk to alumni. If you're GPA is good, you will get an interview.

@"DictatorCloudy" got this right, the resources on campus are strong enough that you won't need any secrets, just realize that if you want to stay in the area, your options are limited. there are likely some VC firms nearby and I know Triangle Capital is a PE firm not too far away in Raleigh, plus you have Morgan Creek right there near campus, but other than that, not much in the old North State.

all I really wanted to add was GO HEELS

@"thebrofessor" r u a tarheel as well? Ideally, you would go to NYC IB. But if you are looking for an alternative route, ATL PE firms might be worth looking into.

GO HEELS.

Thanks for reaching out all, glad to know there's a community. Definitely will be reaching out to alumni as well as upperclassmen - would you recommend using the KF alumni database or linkedin?

@DictatorCloudy any clubs or orgs you're involved in that you'd recommend?
