WTF options house.

I just opened an account on options house but it has already been giving me problems. First, it took forever to fund the account with a WIRE transfer that should take 1 day.

And now, I put in 3 trades today but when I came home none of them went through and I lost out on roughly 1000 bucks today.

I put them as day orders and they all said canceled when I got home. I am new to the whole online trading scene. Does this happen regularly or no?

Any help would be great. Thanks

Yes.

I have optionshouse too.. wires take 1 day as long as you put them in before 1pm CST. ACH transfers take up to 5 days to settle into your account.

Also, Optionshouse automatically defaults your orders to 'limit' orders, not market. So if you were limit @ the current price, there is a good chance that your stocks just never saw anything below the limit.

What's your rush man? Not the type of market you want to 'rush' into, trust me.

^^^ This. The trading platform takes a little getting used to, because it's designed to save you from yourself. Go over your orders line by line and make sure it's everything you want it to be. A market order is a day order just by virtue of the fact that it's a market order. A limit order, on the other hand, may not fill and if you have it input as a day order it cancels at the market close.

ok thank you guys. I didn't change it to market order. And Idk man, it looks like there are plenty of value stocks right now. I've been tracking a few over the past 3 weeks and all of the ones I was tracking have gone up roughly 25% combined

"Look, you're my best friend, so don't take this the wrong way. In twenty years, if you're still livin' here, comin' over to my house to watch the Patriots games, still workin' construction, I'll fuckin' kill you. That's not a threat, that's a fact.
