If you are slated to move in July you have another two weeks to spend time with your family and mourn with them. If you think you need more time maybe you could skype with them on Sundays or something?
I know exactly how you feel, same thing happened to me only with grandmother. And I think you know what the right and rational decision it is just hard to make it. So I suggest going to your doc and explaining this... he'll prescribe Xanax or an equivalent it will make leaving much easier and clear your head...
Wtf. I've heard horror stories of people who got hooked of Xanax or other similar drugs, don't go down that road. Spend time with your family now as much as you can, im sure they'll understand you moving to NYC for quite the possibly the most important decision of your life so far. Do not get hopped up on drugs thinking they will provide you a solution.
Bro go to New York, you're young you have the rest of your life to live. Tragedies happen quite often, you gotta make the move and make things happen for yourself. I'm more than sure your family would understand. If you're from a non-target then you know how hard you had to bust your ass to get this job, don't let it slip through your fingers. Just my .02.
Good luck in whatever you decide to do...
From what I'm hearing you have a good head on your shoulders and appreciate the value of family. Use this event to reinforce the strength you've already built up by working hard towards achieving your goal of working in IB. My sincere apologies to your family but I believe you would do your aunt proud by going through with your intentions on being successful.
Really depends on the person when anti-depressants are involved. Sounds like you're going through a rough patch, but I would have to say, as you are starting your analyst job you will have to be married to your work. You already got a spot as a new analyst, beating a lot of others, so take the job. Your family knows you miss your aunt, but everyone has to move on. Not trying to sound like a dick, but take the job, let your family know you care, but that you got a spot as an analyst that many people would kill for and you need to take it.
Gotta go to NY man. Spend the next couple weeks with the fam and then go. Hit it hard when you get there and don't look back.

Go to NY bro I am bring complete serious here you will regret it forever if you don't. Your mother is a doctor so clearly she is a smart and capable person. Don't handicap yourself before you even start. Worse case you do a year and get a job back home with the BB on the resume.
