Yale for Asia recruiting

How is Yale SOM for Asia? In terms of brand recognition and Asia recruiting for IBD/ER(Finance in general)?

I know in the US its considered Top 15 but the 'ordinary man' in Asia seems to be really big on Yale (but I am not sure how fiannce recruiters consider it).

You could also argue that it is underranked because many SOM graduates go into non-profit careers bringing down the avg salary / employment metrics. I believe test scores are only accounted for in US News ranking.

SOM has high stats, but having met a number of the students, they don't have the work experience quality of the other T14. The non-profit factor is definitely a detriment, but its lacklustre placement into consulting both MBB and boutique and lack of GM recruiting hurt it more.

I do think the programme will keep getting better over the years and perhaps ten years down the line given the Yale name, facilities, etc along with its growing student body it will perhaps be a solid 10th. Though I think it will have a hard time overtaking Fuqua (placement-wise) let alone any of the top 9 (though Stern is vulnerable).
