Yoga
I wanna get into yoga. I just did 20 minutes to some instructional video and ended up feeling pretty good and sporting a semi.
How do I get into yoga without going to classes?

Stick with the instructional video and try and find another introductory one. Master the basics. When you do, then start looking into classes.
You don't need videos. Just got to a donation based place and they will teach you. Namaste.
I'm guessing he either doesn't have the time to go somewhere or doesn't want to go somewhere. In any case, videos will do the trick for a beginner.
Um...keep doing what you are doing?
There are tons of videos online to use. Google is your friend.
YOGA all depends on the Breath. Take breath Do exercises, then after completing the breath, leave the Breath. Tons of videos are available, but find some Good Instructor.
In light of the stress related posts lately (crazy nightmare)...Anyone do Yoga? (Originally Posted: 11/20/2011)
Huge responsibilities at work lately which has caused me to stress and my body is wired to have physical symptoms...
doc recommended yoga and was at a yoga conference with Kareem Abdul Jabbar and he said it has "changed his life"
anyone do it? and is it really good?
I started doing yoga a few months ago to help with the stress. If you got the time to do it and keep up a regular routine you won't regret it
One of the Portfolio Managers (a real BSD) at my HF has a private instructor come to his house at 530 am. He absolutely swears by it. I heard the hot yoga (Bikram) is the best. I use Crossfit to burn off the stress but I'm not opposed to the idea of yoga - your friends will probably give you some shit but fuck it.
they have this for high stress dogs too. they call it doga. seriously, look it up. although i don't know how it would work. you get a bunch of dogs and bitches into a yoga studio, i would imagine that within a few minutes it would descend into an orgy of mutual ass sniffing and fucking.
Studies show that just stretching does wonders for a persons mental state. I've also read that being conscious of breathing can really impact how your body reacts to stimulus. If my manager is attacking me I'll inhale through my nose for 6 seconds, hold for 4, and exhale for 6. If I do that two-three times then I'm usually good to go. You could also try joining a boxing/MMA gym. There's nothing like punching some kid in the throat after closing a deal. That being said, it's not uncommon to see me meditating on a yoga mat as well
