agree to an extent. A lot of it is arbitrary, so at some point if you're qualified & unlucky, it should become a numbers game. If you're still getting nothing, yes, you don't want it bad enough.
^ that what you had in mind?
I was actually expecting something a bit more fluid, something that would stick with me for a while.
Always be practicing, always be closing, always take every shot. Chance favors the prepared man, and even if you don't get your first choice of things, you'll still be better off than if you'd sat around waiting for life to just "happen" in your favor. Get hungry, get focused, get going.
^ that better?
Clearly you "want it" badly enough.
agreed. I know a guy who would sit outside MS office everyday talking to bankers. You know what? HE GOT THE FUCKING GIG
That's sort of true. But timing is a critical factor. This is probably the worst hiring market of the last... pick a number, but several decades (outside of perhaps late 2008 / early 2009, but you could argue today is just an extension of the same thing). You can be a strong candidate and simply be on the wrong side of a secular contraction in financial services. Of course, the best candidates will always find employment, but many who are merely "very good" might be out of luck.
This is my very slow moving attack.
Oops, looks like UFOInsider beat me to it.
If you are stupid as shit and have no social skills.... then no. But if you did win the genetics lottery, then yes.
I hate these threads and no, it is not all a matter of willpower.

lets be honest here, people who get offers are not always the same people who deserve it the most.
When you want to succeed, as bad as you want to breathe, that is when you will be successful:
I am making a video with the above audio of myself utilizing Excel models, talking to important people, looking up names on LinkedIn, cold calling, and using an inhaler..... I hope it goes viral.
