Where do yall get your jeans
No this isn't a "what jeans do ibankers wear" post... I'm just wondering where do you guys get your jeans
I used to wear express slim jeans and some levis but I was wondering what are your favorite brands of jeans that are decently priced, slim fit, straight cut, black, grey and dark navy
Express= shit and Levi's= good start. Levi's denim is analogous to Citi and financial products - endless choices. If you are junior (sounds like it) go grab some traditional mall jeans at J.Crew, Guess or Diesel. They have some good styles. Start off with dark navy denim to wear button downs with and snag some light washed for a dark shirt or some black jeans for in da club. Plan on spending $100 for jeans you won't want to throw away after 6 mos. Please no True Religion, Ed Hardy or Rock&Republic unless you live at Seaside Heights. Also, ask/bring your sister or GF or that cute female analyst in the other cube so they can offer advice. Hope this helps.
Whoa, I love my True's.
Get some Banana or J Crew jeans. They are stylish and cheap-ish.
Lol they are quality, I just don't like their style...Banana seem kinda metro, but to each his own.
True religion
Wranglers or Levi's. Unless you're gay
Wranglers. From Cavenders.
Yo, funny story.
Ok, I was dating a girl in Pittsburgh and we went to the True Religion store so crack head could get his fix. She has a weird style and didn't understand my love for the obnoxious. Well needless to say I bought some ridiculous jeans that day much to her dismay. The relationship did not last much longer. I loved the jeans way more than here hahah.
Side note, I absolutely love the details on true religion jeans. I used to be a Guess Premium snob simply because of the copper buttons, weathered denim, great fit and wonderful sticking. TR's trump them in every way. American made, thick stitching, great denim, love the buttons and back pocket flaps. Great jeans.
what id like to wear: apc, nudies, anything raw
what i do wear: rocks, and some energie and lucky. wish i wasnt a student who had to shop the sale rack.
Think that for a guy, it's important to have one staple pair of jeans that fit you well and doesn't make you look like you're wearing your dad's bottoms. You might have to pay a little more, but save up and as long as your sizing is relatively stable, you won't regret it.
Rock & Republics
don't forget your gold chain, black wife-beater, and late model BMW
7s are the shit
k-mart at 34th and 7th for my wranglers. Macys for my levis...its a simple formula and it keeps me looking good and more importantly feeling comfortable all the F**kin time
Any other jeans are for straight up tools/hipsters
R&R, FTW! I mean, who wouldn't want to wear jeans that Victoria Beckham designed?!
For the basics: http://us.levi.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2076855&cp=3146842.31468… These are raw 501s, the definition of manly jeans.
For more upscale choices, APC do great raw jeans and Earnest Sewn are probably my favorite washed brand. Finally, raw japanese Dior Homme's are the Rolls-Royce of jeans and don't look douchey.
okay I like hipster jeans where do i get those(My legs are too built for those POS urban outfitter jeans)
I get my jeans from nordstroms. They tailor them for you which is great so you can get that better fit. Normally go for 7's or CoH's.
Interesting picks, GoodBread...I will def look into those.
ambition56 - honestly, if you like the slimmer fit try Diesel, they have quality Italian denim and many slim styles. They are on the more edgy side of things, however. Or H&M, Zara, etc. without spending as much dough.
Saks, Bloomingdales
Get Sevens, Rock and Republic, etc
I mix and match washes, fits, whatever
I also like a thick denim. Thin denim is just cheap (that's why I could never buy Joe's)
Anyone else notice that designer jeans always have really epic names?
Seven for All Mankind Citizens of Humanity True Religion Rock and Republic Diesel Industries (ok this isn't as epic)
ralph lauren
..
7s or levis
Hugo Boss, Klaus Von Bulow edition.
Plus wifebeater.
wranglers, old levis
Diesel makes the best jeans. If you have a bigger budget: D-squared.
Wranglers. I mean come on, Brett Favre is on the commercial. It doesn't get much more American than that
banana never fails
i would go with D&G and prada
Don't waste your money on the jeans that are over-distressed and with overly embellished pockets. Stick with a simple design and they won't be out of style next season. APC or Levis raw denim is the way to go. The summer is usually too hot for raw denim so get yourself a few proper fitting chinos for to hold you over to the fall.
I just picked up a pair of Guess jeans for like $40 on sale at Macy's the other day. They wouldn't have been my first choice, but after trying on about 20 different pairs, they fit really well and look to be decent quality, especially for the price. I have a big lower body so I couldn't fit in a pair of skinny, or slim, fit jeans if my life depended on it. In fact, I usually have to get a couple sizes bigger just to get shit to fit in...hence trying on the 20 different pair of jeans.
Regards
Jeans: The only thing Eddie Bauer got right.
Marshalls/TJMaxx
Banana. Lots of options (fit and color), no logos, decent prices, and most importantly timeless.
Levi's all day! @go.bears - definitely agree. Nothing on them and I especially hate pre-rips. I mean if you want a pair of jeans with rips in it than steal it from some homeless guy.
Actually, I wonder why Gold Man Sack wears haha
My bet is he doesn't wear jeans...just leather chaps...because they are crotchless and much more comfortable for him.
Regards
While they aren't as stylish as other jeans....Wranglers
Most jeans just didn't fit me right until I came across Earnest Sewn. Great jeans...expensive but I'm sure you could find cheaper stuff.
If your loaded with cash - you can get measured and have a pair made special for your body...$300+
earnest sewns are allllways popping up at neiman marcus last call and saks off 5th, just be on the lookout
I like the look of these earnest sewns
Barney's have a lot of Earnest Sewn that sometimes goes on sale as well.
All men should have A.P.C. and Dior Homme denim in their closet.
And say it with me: SLIM!!!
SLIM, SLIM, SLIM, SLIM!!!!!!!!! No baggy crap.
NEVER FORGET!!!
I'm not sure why American men are significantly worse dressed than their European counterparts. I miss my gorgeous Euro men.
Well I guess when you are either unemployed or working 30 hours a week you can dick around and worry about your skinny jeans.
This made me lmfao
SB'd.
epic +2
yep - that was my observation when I visited NY - Brits dress better (office clothes)!
Gap. And when I wear holes in them my grandma patches them because my grandma is the coolest grandma ever. I haven't bought a pair of new jeans in years.
okay apc, dior homme and earnest sewn jeans if I want to rain some bills BR and mayb gap if I'm droughting
Boss for ladies, classic
Gap 1969 jeans are hands down the best jeans. Comfortable, sits well, semi-slim look without the extra gayness, and under 40 bucks a pair.
I have a pair of Gap jeans somewhere and I have to admit, they are probably the most comfortably jeans I have ever had...don't know if they were 1969 or not.
Regards
The mall.
Levi’s and Lee rules. If you ask me, I always go with Levi’s, but yes I do love Diesel. I always check out some discounts and sale for best deals.
hmm can i get APCs or earnest sewn jeans for like less tahn 100 bucks? I don't want to sound cheap but I just can't stomach spending more than 100 on casual clothing lol
five finger discount.
I've seen and bought earnest sewns for under $100. Barneys on sale or Century 21 would probably be your best bets. I doubt you could ever get apcs for under $100 (APC New Standards are $160 and you could probably find them for $150).
Nudies......can usually get them on sale for about 89-109 at barneys....saw them once for 69 on december 23 last year!
levis are great if your going to be working.....
cant go wrong with japenese denim....
am i the only one that goes to malaysia for knockoff true rerigions
I don't know I find true religion, guess, rock and republic jeans a little... urban(kind of in a juvenile way). not trying to hate but that's just my taste
Phat Pharm, Ecko, stussy, jengo, El Fuego, dickies,
I clearly keep it real
Walmart, Hot Topic and Target.
Stayin`tr00 to mah h00d, d/-\wgs. You know how we roll in Brooklyn, yo, manz we reppin it...
I picked up a pair of union jeans on sale for $40 +$15 to get them tailored to length... It's been a few weeks, and I've had multiple compliments. Otherwise, I'm into Buffalo and Lucky for weekends, and did drunkenly buy a pair of Parasuco in Montreal that are indestructable and comfortable... heavy duty
A.P.C. is the way to go. I have a pair of raw selvage navy blue denim, bought them in February, have yet to wash them and the fading is awesome, it's custom to your body (leg) type. I spent $150 on them; i used to buy stuff from gap before, never going back, quality and craftsmanship is worth the price. Don't think of it as spending too much on casual clothing, you can keep them as dressy jeans and they will last longer than anything else you've bought in the past. Other names ppl have mentioned on here are legit
Honestly, it's painful to pay $100-200 for nice jeans, but you should only buy them if they look great and fit perfectly. If they do, you'll wear them all the time, they'll look good, and you'll definitely get your money's worth.
Macy's
I wear Citizens, William Rast, R&R, AG jeans, and have a few Express Jeans. I buy them mostly at the Houston Galleria area. Sales only...I'm cheap.
7 For All Mankind, Standard in New York Dark.
/end thread
You people are hilarious.
crisp nyc
I never wear jeans, now because of the work. I feel very cool!
Alfani or SeanJohn from Macy's are really comfortable.
i think levis and wranglers are absolutely hideous and not fashionable at all what so ever -- there are some levi's premium that i own but generic levis.. no way
and ironic the same people who trump ferragamos go with the levis but crap on express (although quality isnt super best ill admit)

Men wear blue jeans for a reason, to get shit done.
They should not be used for fashion. ever.
/end thread
You don't get laid on the reg. do you?
ck you ll never look back ...
Gilded Age denim - hand made luxury denim. They're expensive (250-400), but worth every penny. Buy yourself 2 pairs and they won't wear out for like hundreds of wears.
Hugo Boss also nice and more reasonably prices (130-225).
That is ridiculous to pay that much for jeans. I have suits for less than that.
Macy's has a good selection of jeans to choose from. My high-class jeans are banana republic. You can get jeans there for about $50-$75.
Most jeans I bought from different price ranges don't wear out.
Evisu if youre baller. Otherwise Levi's will do
Selvedge denim ftw
AG Adriano Goldschmied Diesel Guess
I actually like Express Men's jeans. Gap too has some good stuff.
And I know this sounds juvenile, but Abercrombie and Fitch's jeans fit amazing. They are the only thing that I would ever buy there - but man, they fit certain body types well -thick legs.
Seeing as how I'm 6'7 I don't have a lot of choices in the 36" inseam department. Banana has them, and 7 and the like are cut to 35.5 which isn't quite enough. Any other giants with suggestions?
http://www.denimexpress.com/levi-501-shrink-to-fit-jeans.html
Check out Naked and Famous as well as the EP's that Epaulet makes. It's all about the dark wash raw denim these days. If you're in New York, definitely check out the Epaulet store in Brooklyn or the new one in LES. Mike is a genius with clothing and he only stocks great stuff. Website is http://www.epauletshop.com but better to go in person if you can.
levi's. they get the job done.
I rock Z Cavaricci and Marithe + Francios Girbaud ONLY. Anything less is uncivilized.
Girbaud... bringing it back dude.
Alexander McQueen and Rick Owens make the best fitting jeans. Been through at least 4 of each in the past year. I love Nudies too but they last ~2 months tops if you wear them once a week.
get earnest sewns and sevens. can get them at barneys or online
lots of gay genes in this thread
I see what you did there..... lolz
#
Buying expensive / trend jeans is like buying a burberry pattern tie. You might feel great when you first buy it but in the end you wind up just wasting money and looking STUPID.
Sticks with Levi or Wrangler.
Black jeans? Come on....
Where is sitch when we need an authority on what jeans to wear?
Independent Gestion I really do not see how I was implying you should look like Joe Dirt
But good luck chasing tail by buying new jeans every couple of months and telling girls you work in IB for (insert BB name here)
I do work for a BB but I would never even talk about work with girls because I'm not a pimply little internet warrior and I'm RBB (Rich Before Banking). So fuck off.
P.S. I'm a little tipsy and posting off my phone but I am aware I'm gonna get flamed for this comment.
I never really gave two shits dude. I've just enjoyed our back and forth here, it's produced some gems.
Dude you were right, you are going to get flamed. First off, you come across exceptionally pretentious. Second you proved it by using a self made acronym...which you then had to define for everyone...which I find laughable. Third, I highly doubt that you did much on your own to become RBB, so it's sad that you would even mention other people's accomplishments as if it is some of reflection on who you really are.
Truthfully, I don't care if your pretentious or not (it doesn't bother me in the slightest) but what I find annoying are the people that are but pretend, or say, that they aren't. Dressing nicely doesn't only imply couture clothing or designer labels. I know a guy that is particularly pretentious but who thinks he's not. This is the same guy who says he prefers walk to, or park far away from, a restaurant when he is meeting a girl for the first date because he doesn't want her to know that he drives a Porsche (but probably sets his key on the table at dinner) but won't order generic floor mats for his car because they won't say "Porsche" on them.
Anyways, to each their own. I just know that when I fuck a girl and she cums it's probably not because she's fantasizing about the Levi's label she saw on my jeans when she was eye level to my cock and peeling them off.
Regards
gilded age
not that you would, but just to be sure NEVER ever wear true religion or rock and republic. i hope that goes without saying
a lot of decent jeans can be had
bunch of idiots. whats wrong with skinnies.
I like them too, look much better, maybe slightly less skinny on guys (tight but not tell if if a coin is heads or tails tight)
APC, Dior and Acne are unrivalled for cut/fit. Mostly slim though.
Diesel always manages to caress my nuts ever so gently.
APC new standard
Not sure if it has been mentioned, did not bother to read the entire thread, but Gap has so nice dark colour denim that is slim and solid in quality and can be found quite easily on sale. There fits and cuts seem to have a high turnover rate yr to yr.
Not in the same tier as APC and the likes, but then again not all of us want to spend big money on selvage or raw jeans.
APCs
Though recently I went to gap and got a pair of 1969 selvedge for 18 bucks. Great beater jeans.
Express, Levis, Diesel
APC doesn't offer different inseam size, there standard is 33 isn't it? I am 5-7-5-8 and I need 30 inseam. Any recommendations?
^ Take it to any tailor to hem to a 30" inseam.
I was thinking that, but I heard that Jeans like these shouldn't be tailored because of the quality, or is that a misconception?
Cheap Monday, Comune, Obey or Levis.
If you want to get some higher-end denim i recomend hitting up Barney's Co-Op in the 60th st store. They have a great denim selection...to me jeans are about finding a brand that fits your body type right and there you can try on alot of different stuff. I like Levi's Made and Crafted and Acne.
...also if u want to go cheaper i reccomend Gap 1969...good value if they fit you well.
Uniqlo.
Inexpensive, terrific fit, my new favorite.
Gap.
If you aren't wearing raw denim, you shouldn't be wearing denim period.
Yeah seriously. If you're not going to wear raw denim, might as well wear a skirt made out leaves.
It's great, I love my Iron Hearts.
Hope you love your se7en's!
Fuck jeans I still rock JNCO shorts.
Levis, and wranglers anyone? Maybe just a Texas thing.
I used to be really into raw selvedge jeans and would buy $200 jeans. Then, I realized I'm being an idiot for buying and wearing $200 jeans when I'm making like $50K a year. I will put off my high quality clothing fetish for a few years.
levi's. very classy.
uniqlo or levis
APC. Although they've been changing their manufacturing places recently so you get them from all sorts of places..
I don't think anyone has mentioned Lucky yet. They make great jeans, slim fit. I have a few pair that are great.
The Truey Store
I'm on 8 months of having APC New Standard which are quite nice although I wish I'd gone a size bigger, the stretching was not as extreme as I'd expected. Iron Heart IH-634S are probably next but man they are expensive.
Bonobos. PM me if you want a $25 discount.
Could be one of the most overpriced brands, that and J. Crew
And Banana Republic. Best time to buy either is on sale.
Calvin Klein, Levis and... GAP.
On an interesting tangent - don't wash your jeans: http://www.businessinsider.com/levis-ceo-dont-wash-your-jeans-2014-5
.
Levis 511
Shopping mall.
True religion and Levi's.
Wranglers. All I wear.
Iron Heart, getting my 634S today!
Self Edge
Levi's 505 for the most part. 7's if I'm feeling fancy.
You guys in USA don't have to look very far to get a nice pair of jeans ! Almost everything that fits you on this website is top quality: http://www.blueowl.us/ Forget about Levis (except some pieces from levis vintage clothing), Wrangler,...
If you're in NYC and don't mind dropping $225 on a paid, Accustom apparel uses 3d imaging to make a body scan and can make bespoke jeans. Have a suit and pair of jeans from there and love them both. Highly recommend them.
Anyone know of raw denim jeans that have cuts for doods with larger legs? Skinny jeans just don't cut it
Usually I do seven slouchy's (relaxed leg, straight leg opening) however they are no mas
Levi 501 STFs would fit that description.
Thanks, brotha
higher end - Nudies
raw - Unbranded (Naked & Famous sister company)
everyday - Lucky Brand
I mostly buy Levis without a second thought. It's a brand I know and for the most part the styles fit well right off the rack. The 505's... just a tad too long in the legs, need to hem them about an inch.
But I see guys saying they can't stomach to spend more than 100 bucks I jeans. I can't stomach to spend more than 45 since to me the quality and look are pretty much the same. Every pair of jeans that I wear to work I also wear in my off work time. They get dirty, sweaty, they stretch, shrink, fade. I'll play football in them on Sunday, wash them Sunday night, and I'm wearing them to work Monday morning. To ask me to spend more than 45 on something that's going to get beat up.... I don't know about you but something just doesn't sound right, or doesn't sound worth it, about that deal.
I don't wear jeans anymore. Even when I wear them supper low, I can't find any big enough in the inseam and I don't want to spend the money for custom pants.
Lucky Brand and Citizens of Humanity
Momotaros are a really good brand.
I buy everything including jeans in TJ Max, very close to Wall street
Topman. Great style, good fit.
Lucky's. The euro brands tend to not leave enough room in the ball region.
I like my Gap jeans; they're ultimately comfortable and caters to someone who is not skinny.
I also have a local raw denim bought from a friend from 2 years ago. Raw denim is cool because it gets better with age.
The seven's standard works for me and I tend to have bigger thighs as a former college soccer player. My waist is always loose at a 32 waist because I have to size up to fit my legs.
You should try out Paige brand jeans. I just went to Nordstrom today in La Jolla and they had a pair of the slim fit federal jeans in cellar color and I got them for 138 when they are priced at 200. Feel as soft as sweat pants and look as good as a jean can get. I got them to wear to the office when no clients are in.
H&M since they fit me perfectly for some reason, J.Crew, A.P.C
I really like my Levi 511s, they're absolutely amazing.
I would rock some APCs if I could buy them
Nudie jeans are definitely my favorite - usually carried at Barneys or Saks.
BLK DNM jeans are not bad either.
Levi's is the only brand I use for jeans, They have many variations from the skinny jeans which I think is improper to use in the office to straight cuts which is a Levi's classic.
Levi's is my favorite brand!
Nice Jeans that don't look Gay/Ghetto for under $120 (Originally Posted: 09/28/2011)
Any suggestions? are the $90-100 jeans at JCrew/Banana Republic worth the price?
I went to Nordstrom today. Everything looked gay/ghetto. Why?
Also, what kind of shoes should I wear with my new jeans? I'm sick of looking like Larry David.
RRL denim. totally worth it.
Department stores tend to include them in their sales. If you buy them direct you are paying for the insane overhead of that store.
Or just get Levis (514s).
RRL is surprisingly cheap at Saks after Christmas. The sticker is so high because they have to pay for those crazy premium, low volume retail stores.
I also like Lucky, but that is a fit / comfort thing. Levis are fine if you want to keep it simple.
Get a pair of black or walnut calfskin loafers. With or without embellishment (horsebit, monk strap) depending on how fashion forward you are.
polo
Personally, I'm a fan of Diesel jeans. You can usually find some cleaner looking designs (ex. Larkee) which still have some pizzazz.
I like the Krooley and Larkee Jeans by Diesel
Seconded on the RRL. You'll go beyond your price point but be happy for it. Or, APC New Standards. If you like none of these options, check out the 'streetwear and denim' section of Styleforum, but be careful, the guys on that half of the site are pretty douchey.
If you're afraid of looking gay I'm sure Old Navy has some jeans you might like.
I also say go for RRL. Retail is pretty pricey, but if you have a polo outlet near I would say check them out. I got two pairs of RRL jeans for 40 a pop...
Levis?
Diesel on a site like YOOX, $100 ish and quite nice if you can find your size.
APC or RRL
Lucky
Century 21... downtown NYC... 7 for all mankind - $80 - $140, get them.
Sidenote, if you buy full price jeans from Nordstroms all alterations are free
