Zegna Suits?
The Z Zegna line. Think they run from around $900-1,100. Have a slim style fit. Was wondering if any of you have experience with this brand.

not sure why the pants are so tight (lol) but overall, its a nice fit
Honestly, the super short jacket and super thin lapel thing will be out of style in a few years. I think this is a little too "fashion-forward," for lack of a better word.
I really do think the super-slim everything look is getting played out. Just get things that fit well, don't look boxy, and don't have lapels that could double as wings.
Take a look at these http://www.beckettrobb.com/store/index/category/44/three-piece, and anything from gilt.com
proportions are fucked up on that suit. hideous to be blunt. get something traditional, classy, and conservative. this is banking.
The Z Zegna line of suits is complete garbage. It's a mix of fused and half-canvassed suits that really just piggyback off of the Zegna brand name (I know this particular suit is half-canvassed, but half-canvassed suits can be had at half the price of this suit). The only Zegna suits worth buying are the Zegna mainline suits, which are all fully canvassed, but those are likely way out of your price range. At the price point of that particular Z Zegna suit, I would look into Samuelsohn and Corneliani suits, which are all fully canvassed.
As for that suit, it's just awful in so many ways. The pants are especially bad. They're way too tight. If you're a toothpick, you might be able to pull off the jacket, but the pants...Nobody can wear those pants well.
I advocate the whole slim-fit thing, but damn; that's just sick.
Go for something like this: http://www.ralphlauren.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3410210&cp=17607…
or

Why not buy a suit at Brooks Brothers that won't out of style in a couple years. This new slim and shiny suit style isn't going to last and it looks ridiculous.
I damn near spit my whisky out when I saw the fit on those pants. Talk about nuthuggers.
You can easily pull off a slim fit without it being skinny. Stay away from the link you posted.
If you put yourself in the ~14-1500 range you can get a nice made to measure suit. If you want to be in the ~900-1100 suit range with "fashion forward" finishes that still looks classic, check out Suit Supply. They also have a store in Soho... http://us.suitsupply.com/suits/Suits,en_US,sc.html
