Job Title: Business Analyst

Job Description:

As a member of the technology innovation team at Blackstone, you will work with a group of talented individuals in a highly team-oriented environment to create the next generation of innovative solutions for Blackstone and the financial community at large.

Our technical Business Analysts are involved in the full development lifecycle and will work closely with all stakeholders during the conceptual, design, development, and production stages of each project.   The business analyst serves as the “glue” between business owners, clients, quality assurance and the engineers that build the designs, so they need to be able to discuss, manage and document their work and design decisions effectively to varied audiences. 

Responsibilities include:

Build a deep understanding of user motivations, market opportunities and competition through research and design exploration.

Design and specify user interfaces and information architecture using participatory and iterative design techniques including customer interviews, usability testing, and other forms of requirements discovery.

Iterate on designs based on user feedback, user research, technology constraints and market dynamics.

Effectively communicate research findings, conceptual ideas and detailed design rationale both verbally and visually.

Lead the interactive design process, drive decisions, track issues, and assist in estimating and managing release schedules.

Ability to both discuss, present and document designs and design decisions effectively to varied audiences.

·Work with cross-functional teams (client working groups, business owners, engineering, QA, etc.) to manage the entire lifecycle from concept to completion.                   

Qualifications:

Thrives when collaboratively working with multiple groups in a variety of settings and strong communication skills with the ability to listen, articulate positions, and advocate designs

Impeccable project management and implementation skills.

Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio)

A basic understanding of the financial services industry

Experience with Salesforce CRM platform

Ability to drive process changes

Requirements:

To be considered for the role, applicants must meet any of the following criteria:

Bachelor’s Degree

A degree in one of the following disciplines: Technology and/or Engineering is preferred

7-10 years equivalent experience managing technology projects
