Do you need an MBA to make partner?
At top consulting firms, it is absolutely necessary to have an MBA if one hopes to advance past a certain point? Or can one even hope to make partner one day based on experience, even if they only have an undergrad business degree? It just seems pointless to go get an MBA if you don't need one.
I guess this question applies to jobs within Fortune 500 companies too.

no
at my MBB it seems that having an MBA and making partner have very little correlation
Alright guys, thanks for the info.
So what about promotion within a Fortune 500 company? Are you expected to have an MBA at a certain point?
Also, what constitutes being a "top performer" within a management consulting firm?
