Accenture Offer Questions
Hey Folks,
I've been lurking on this forum for a while now, and its been great for advice on searching for a job. I recently went through all the interviews and was made an offer by Accenture after my graduation. I'm set to graduate in May, and I assume I'll be starting work in June or July (they haven't confirmed the start date)
I should be jumping up and down right now (because a lot of other people from my university applied and were turned down), but I'm a bit worried. The first thing I would be worried about is my background check. I've never been arrested or anything, but I did get a citation for Marijuana due to a party my roommates threw (less than an ounce, and it is decriminalized in the state I live in, so all I had to do was pay a $100 fine). So will this show up on my CORI check?
Also, I have once or twice partook in certain activities that would cause me reason to worry for passing a drug test. I know that Accenture does drug tests, but will they do the tests right before I begin employment, or will they ask me for one in the weeks to come?
I hope this post doesn't imply that I'm some criminal drug user, because I am not. I am worried though, so some advice would be much appreciated.
lol you will be fine bud
Get it? "BUD"? Heh.

haha don't worry, do what they did on Entourage and fake your pee!
"once or twice" yet you fear a drug test when you begin work? Is someone here in denial? hahahah.
I never got drug tested...I know you have to get a test on all "Federal" projects, though.

I just got an offer two days ago for the management consulting position. I most likely will start around next winter. I was wandering if you knew what kind of drug tests Accenture makes you take (i.e. hair test or pee test). this is an important distinction because hair tests date weed usage back like 6 months, whereas pee tests can only go back a few weeks. any info would be a huge help. Maybe ask some other employees in management consulting.
Thanks

You guys are nuts. No one is taking hair samples.
What exact position was this for?
