What is the best thing about going out on your own and starting something...

So it has been four weeks since I left energy trading and opened my own shop.

While not trading I am still in the energy space. I thought the best thing was going to be making $$ and buying things. My name on the reserved parking while people calling me "sir" while I walked into the building. All that was swept under the rug after I hired my first employee then my second as things have picked up.

The best thing about starting your own firm is CREATING JOBS. It is an unreal feeling and very humbling for someone to join you on the early stages of a new company.

Be a JOB CREATER

Shit, I'd move to Geneva to do energy recruiting...

Good luck from one energy entrepreneur to another. I have a cousin with an M7 degree who wants to get into energy that I haven't been willing to hire--maybe I'll send them your way. I told them to start in scheduling role of some sort to get a feel for how things work.

May your revenue be high and your expenses low.

I rich, smarts, and totally in debt.

You're the man monty, looking to start something on my own a few years down the road once I have the experience. We should have a casual mid-year energy meet up in Houston if anyone's interested.

Rise early, work hard, strike oil.
