I think its some mystical creature that makes plants grow.

any asians in here? what do you wear? i had a pair of wayfarers but they didnt account for my asian nose :( they always slid down and left dents in my nose.. what should i buy
I know at one point Oakley made sunglasses specifically tailored to conform to the face shape of asians. Not sure if they still do but you might want to check it out.

and even if they are not, im not going to rock them outside. embarrassing

Yea, I don't wear oakleys and I'm not asian, its just the only thing I thought of when you asked about something that might accomodate your facial structure.

It's all personal preference. I have a buddy who swears by Persols and another who loves his Maui Jims. Two of my friends swear by their Raybans. Personally, I like Oakeys. You go with what looks right on you.

If you are buying something expensive (150+) it doesn't really matter as 95% of upper market brands are owned by luxicota anyways.

This basically every brand of expensive sunglasses is made by the same company. I have some O's now, I've also had Ray Bans and considering getting some Maui Jim's...they are all the same...All one is paying for is the name, so go with what you like.

Oakley's and Ray Bans are super gay and are mainly purchased by people who have never been to a beach.

Adapt, when you consider that Oakleys are the official sunglasses of the Men's and Women's US Olympic Beach Volleyball Team, I'd be pretty hard pressed to agree with your statement. Not just that, don't they make sunglasses for surfers too? Hell, aren't most of what they are known for made for all sorts of outdoor wear and sports use anyways? So... scratch that one.

The Ray-Bans? I got nothing there... The two most famous models they make (the Aviators and the Wayfarers) were never designed for beachwear.

I wasn't being literal, so don't get too heated over there in your half jackets with iridium lenses.

Just the fact that you pointed out they are the official sunglasses of the Men's and Women's volleyball teams shows how cheese they are. I can't imagine anyone wearing them that wasn't being paid to do so.

I life guarded a popular beach for years and to guards and surfers alike for the most part Oakley's were persona non grata. You'd see a kid rock them occasionally but usually it was a rookie you'd be hazing in a pair of these:

add the MLB..basically all outfielders wear Oakley's... a few wear Nike...Also snow sports... the likes of Shawn White... Oakley's not exactly sure what you're getting at.

You're missing the point completely (Frieds gets what I'm saying I think). I realize that Oakleys are great for extreme athletics or tactical/military purposes. All I'm saying is that they're not cool at all in my opinion. You also just named more people who are paid to wear them. Since you brought up baseball, I don't know if you played or not, but if you did you'd know that one of the top brands of glove out there is Nokona. Every glove is handmade of various kinds of leather. No one in MLB wears them even though they're nicer than any Rawling glove I've ever used. Nokona does not pay players to wear they're gloves to my knowledge and are a small company out of Texas.

Getting back to the sunglasses, to me Oakleys are just not stylish/cool in any way. They remind me of the type of sunglasses someone in Nebraska would walk into a Sunglass Hut and buy. I'm trying suggest some brands the OP might not see in a main stream retailer dominated by Oakley and Ray Ban.

I've got a pair of Whiskers and M-Frames. Get it right...

Now, I suppose they have some cheese to 'em. Then again, Oakley also sponsors how many other Athletes and has one of the most commonly seen frames used by the Military and police forces (The M-Frame). All I am saying is that they are a brand known for sports and athletic use.

Oh, and those are ugly! Those are just disgusting. I shudder at the thought of possibly knowing someone who owns those.

If you are going the luxicotta route get some Persols, RB Wayfares are cool but I see way too many hippies/ indie people wearing them.

The truely ironic part of that is that Wayfares are a pop culture icon. Truely ironic indeed.

Oakley is a big name when it comes to good sunglasses makers . I am a big fan of baseball and I am using Oakley men's Radar Ev Shield. This is an excellent sunglasses from them that not only will shade your eyes nicely when playing baseball but will also help you look good while doing it. The lens color on these glasses is really cool and they are very solidly built too. They are non-polarized and feature 100% UV ray protection.

I think Ray Bans are a universally good choice without having to worry about looking trendy. Besides that the must have brands come and go.

I wear $10 cataract glasses for old people. They're polarized. I used to work optical and had tons of expensive glasses and lost like 10 pairs. I will not buy expensive sunglasses or earbuds.
