Summer executive compensation analyst position. How to prepare?
Hi everyone
So after the hectic internship application season where everyone was scrambling for a summer job I somehow through sheer luck I managed to secure a summer internship (in Oz) as a executive compensation analyst at a rather reputable HC consulting firm (Mercer/Towers Watson.)
Since this is my first corporate stint I am rather nervous and want to do the best I can to secure a grad position through this opportunity since my GPA is pretty horrendous. I've read the McKinsey Way/Engagement, The Lords of Strategy and also a few articles here and there about policies on exec comp, also I am currently learning to master all the shortcuts on excel/pp/word. Since this is not a strategy consulting firm I'm just wondering if there is a different way to approach this.
Cheers guys.
