contacting the company to check the status of my application, acceptable?
i was wondering if i am being too annoying (thus potentially alienating) recruiters by sending them emails to ask about the status of my job application.
has anyone done this before?
It may be annoying if you continually do it, but that's also their job. Don't feel too bad.
How long do you think it's appropriate to wait until contacting them? I've waited two weeks but feel that is too long. I've been contacting them after a week of submitting my applications and I've gotten some pretty good results.
Depends how long you've been waiting. 24 hours = annoying, 1 month = perfectly acceptable.
