Deloitte S&O Lateral Process

Guys,

I'm looking to switch into management consulting, I currently work at an advisory firm right now doing project finance essentially. The job posting below is the only S&O posting I saw on Deloitte's website for someone my age (pre-MBA, I'm graduated in May 2012 from a top 35 school, 3.6 GPA). Does the S&O practice usually only hire for specific teams like this? Or do they hire for lateral generalist roles? FWIW Deloitte does hire a bunch of the accounting majors from my school for audit and other advisory roles.

Can anyone shed more light into the lateral process and the best way to approach it?

Thanks
