T-Shirts beneath Shirts: your Opinion?
Hi guys, quick question: do you guys wear T-Shirt (White obviously) beneath your shirts? Is it frowned upon if I don't?
Best regards and thanks for your feedback.

Yes, I do: white cotton v-necks against sweat. But it's up to you, whether you prefer wearing one or not.
thanks!
Why V-neck? I can understand if you don't wear a tie but if you wear a tie why go with v neck than crew neck?
Hanes white v-neck. It's more comfortable, it saves my shirts because I sweat a good bit, and I have a couple black tattoos that can show through on white button downs otherwise. V-neck because I rarely wear a tie and a crew neck undershirt under a button down makes you look like a four year old.
thanks for the comment!
Couldn't agree more

You answered your own question. V-neck because I don't wear a tie. If I did wear a tie, I wouldn't wear v-necks. But I don't.
I 2nd this. to add to it wear a grey one under a white shirt and it will not show at all depending on the shirt.
undershirts get me more wears out of a shirt but my recommendation would be to go for grey ones.. the white ones show and I don't think anyone likes that look..
Interesting point with the color!
I do not. It just feels uncomfortable to me and I feel like my shirts don't fit right if I'm wearing another shirt under it.
yea, have the same Problem! Cheers for your reply
+1. It's like, I understand how the undershirt captures all the sweat, but at the same time, wearing that additional shirt just makes me hotter and even more-likely to sweat in the first place. Such a confusing situation.
If you are referring to a cotton T-shirt, I don't. Feels too thick.
I wear one of those Airism (breathable material) V-neck from Uniqlo - thin and feels good.
Yes I was referring to a cotton t-shirt! Thanks for the reply!
I do not wear undershirts. It looks awful when it shows through and it's too hot in Texas for that.
Ok sounds logical. Thanks for the reply!
In addition to the white shirt people have suggested, you can try grey shirt. Your inner shirt kinda looks invisible
Hanes v-neck guy here too. Gets the job done well.

No tie. And sometimes I like to pop open another button.
I rock a white crew-neck tee under my Turnbull & Asser shirts, otherwise my barcode tramp stamp will show through
Glad to hear there are other dirty sluts on here with the same problem.
Love Turnbull & Asser. Thanks for the reply!
I go with the a-shirt during the summer.
my thoughts too - thanks for the reply!
For the love of god please don't let the shirt show if you're going to do this -- it looks terrible.
If you're going to do it as the above have said -- V-neck is the way to go and make sure your shirts are thick enough that you can't see the undershirt through them.
Just wondering. Why V neck?
Because you can't see a V-neck. It doesn't look good/clean when you see a white crew neck popping out from underneath -- but a v neck is cut low enough that it won't show under your shirt.
Uniqlo Airism vnecks. They have ones that are closer to skin color than others and do not show at all
Will take into consideration. Thank you for the reply!
+1 on Uniqlo price is solid as well
v-neck or die..people look awful when they wear the crew neck with a dress shirt without a tie.
Too much bulk IMO, looks weird if the shirt is fairly well fitted
Uniqlo Airism is the way to go. They're slim fitting, super comfortable and they have a pretty deep V so you really can't see them underneath your dress shirt.
I rather go with a tank top under my shirts since they are less bulkier than T-Shirts, yet they still prevent the inevitable back sweat from showing in those hot summers. Furthermore, I just think it looks a bit sloppy when a T-Shirt can be seen through the shirt. I don't why many people don't just substitute the T-Shirt with the tank top, unless their armpits are always seriously leaking. In that case I recommend Certain Dri to be the solution to this problem. :)
Fine, but no crew neck. Crew necks under a button down scream "marketing intern".
Says the guy who gets a $5 haircut from the Russian place downstairs next to Sbarro
Ha i wish it only cost $5! And that Sbarro still existed in my area...
Mr Davis , V Neck, Tone, Tailored. There's no equal.
Best undershirt in the game.
always wear a cotton tank undershirt
No undershirt, unless you have dark nipples
Undershirts... ugh. The days when back office swarms my row on the floor when there's a problem. Undershirts for days. Looks like dogshit. Make sure to get rubber soled shoes too.
Sweat less.
This is a joke right? Only a handful of first years and 50+ bankers wear undershirts.
Can somebody please tell me what the most prestigious undershirt is?
Nobody gives a shit as long as the T shirt isn't obvious under your dress shirt....or alternatively as long as your nasty man-hairs(assuming that you're both male and deserving of being called a "man") aren't visible underneath your dress shirt.
Just make a judgement call. Extremely hairy? You've got that nasty, greasy, sweat that stains shirts? Fat? Wear one. Or don't if you tend to get hot easily.
You could also do like a lot of European bankers do and wear a wifebeater T under it.
Never knew this was so popular. I have hyperhidrosis (I sweat my ass off) and would be a mess if I had to wear an undershirt.
It sounds like you'd be far messier without something to soak up the sweat...
Wearing an extra layer would increase my body temperature to a point where I'd sweat more and then have to deal with a wet soggy undershirt all day. I just kind of dread wearing cotton in general. I try to buy shirts that are somewhat breathable and dry out completely 2-3 hours into the day. I've tried anti-perspirants to solve the sweating issue in general, but nothing's worked so far.
no of course you shouldn't wear an undershirt because we all REALLY enjoy seeing your nipples on a regular basis. the day doesn't feel complete without them.
Hanes white V-neck too. It's comfy and shields the sweat from the shirt a little bit.
i wear a wife beater as its thin, doesn't show sweat much, and is much more comfortable than standard crew/vneck.
Doesn't do anything for your pits though. I never understood those
