Big 4 IT Advisory and MBA?

Hey, thanks for visiting.
I'm currently working in the IT Advisory department of one of the Big4 firms (as a Senior Consultant), and was hoping to do a part-time MBA. My aspirations are to work for an F10 IT firm later in my career at a managerial/senior position because frankly, I don't want to be doing consulting work for the rest of my life as it will become unmanageable due to family and other commitments.
My questions are -
Is it useful to get an MBA? Since I've got great work experience, and big4 provides good exit opportunities.. would B school matter?

You should be able to get into a top 25 place given that you were involved in extra circular. What is tier 3 considered to you? Different people have different expectations.

Have you thought about pursuing a job in finance, IT, or consulting that is more prestigious. Given your work experience it might be possible, but I think an MBA is probably the best use of your time.

Ranked between 75-100. However, I have multiple co-workers that went to Top 15 undergraduate business schools and are doing the same mind numbing work(IT auditing).

If I plan on getting my MBA I was going to increase the amount of extra circular activities that I am involved with. Currently, I am only a member of ISACA and have passed my CISA certification test.

I think it helps if you have long term extracurricular (not merely right before you apply), anyways given your activities and the fact that big4 firms are still at the top of accounting firms, you should consider applying to MBA. Your GPA and work experience (in terms of position) are fine for a top 25, so it all depends what you actually did.

Also to be frank, one year isn't really starting over too much, considering you barely began. It really depends on your end objective... do you want finance, consulting, VC, PE? I would say at this point, you should consider trying both lateral and MBA and see which option you can get.
