logo or no logo when at work and going out?
Landed a summer gig in NYC so not sure how logos are looked at. is wearing no logos the right way to go? For example, Brook brothers have logos on some of their shirts. Do I just get the one without logos?
Also, is wearing no logos the right way to go at work?
No logos preferred, but if you have a logo on your shirt, and it's not too obvious, I wouldn't throw a fit. Now if you've a shirt with "Supreme" or "Comme des garcons" emblazoned on that shit, then I'll definitely throw you out. Best call of action though, is to buy a new shirt (unless you're an intern or an analyst with a pitiful sign-on bonus).
Ideally no logo. Minor one is fine (e.g. blue on a white/blue stripped shirt) as long as it is somewhat small and discrete. The RL logo is the one I cannot stand (for some reason).
I was wearing a Ralph Lauren button up with horse logo. My boss walked by in his suit, flashed me the inside of his jacket. It was Armani and then he proceeded to laugh at me and say "real bosses don't wear logos". From that day on, I never bought another shirt with a logo.
Logo shirts are the workhorse.
preferably, your shirts shouldn't have logos or any kind of ostentatious patterns. but if it's just an understated embroidery you should be fine
No logos anywhere.
Do you need to cover your facial tattoos with makeup or are teardrops below your eyes and other prison tats accepted by wallstreet?
You laugh, but I have to make sure my white dress shirts are opaque enough that my tattoos don't show through.
Visible tattoos thru the shirt is the definition of POWER MOVE. I almost want to go get thinner white dress shirts now. Just kidding
