How is the Ralph Lauren brand perceived on the street (going out clothing) ?

I hear no logo is the best way to go, but I have a "dad bod" going on so the Ralph Lauren dress shirts fit me the best so far out of all the shirts I've tried. Is the fit similar to Brooks Brothers? This is for going out, not office wear.

I think Ralph Lauren shirts for going out is perfectly fine tbh. They're quite nice and look professional.

The two rules to business wear (casual and formal): 1. no logos, 2. nothing that'll make you memorable in a crowded bar. Flashing logos is essentially telling the word: "this is the best I've got". No matter the brand, logos are always perceived badly, i.e. "social climber, douchebag, lame..." Your RL selection is fine as long as you ditch the pony
