Gucci suits - 3rd year M&A analyst

Curious to know your thoughts on wearing Gucci suits as a 3rd year M&A analyst at a small shop. Wasn’t planning on buying these originally but I tried them on at the outlet and the suits are really nice. Would never pay retail of $3k for them but at $400-800 I thought it was a steal.

Most people won't know its Gucci unless they know a lot about suits so go ahead. And frankly, at the price you got them it wasn't a bad idea to get one. Personally, with $400-800 I would buy Boggi suits. Classier

Very true. Gucci is typically a pretty flashy brand but you can’t tell unless you see the lining or you’re close enough to read the side of the buttons. I would never buy it for the name brand, but I was blown away at how good it felt and fit when I put it on. Boggi is $400-800 retail or do you go to an outlet?

Gucci is trash for value. At that price point it's probably fused, aka stuff you find at Macy's. Unless it's the Gucci made by tom ford..those are canvases and would definitely be worth $800. The ones made by zenga are usually canvas but need to be careful

I bought 3 of them and they are all fully canvassed. My tailor’s jaw dropped when I told him I got them under $700. The lining on the inside is impeccable too. At the outlet they are usually around $1500 but they had a crazy sale so honestly I just lucked out.

If you're buying them at an outlet, they're there for a reason. They are either fused as mentioned above or have some fault that makes them ineligible to be sold in the boutiques. If you want to spend $400-800 then go to Suit Supply and do an in-house tailoring session.

Your suit is about the way it's cut, not the brand. You even said it yourself, no one can tell the brand.
