Loafers other than Gucci

Looking to pick up some loafers. Im sick and tired of tying my shoes.

Part of me wants to splurge for Gucci, but I'm just starting my second year as an analyst so I don't wanna be "that guy". Gucci too flashy for analysts?

Any good alternatives you guys are wearing?

Thx

Big fan of Allen Edmonds. Have prolly 5-6 pairs of their loafers, all calf except for one cordovan. Awesome shoes and quality, ticks the box for me cause I don’t really see a difference in quality until you really up the price range Edward Green, Lobb, Gaziano etc

i maxed out on Paul Evans over the last 18 months and when you buy a couple you can get some pretty meaningful coupon codes (20%, 30% and even 50% on deadstock items). I found them to be pretty solid shoes, but not sure how they compare to AE which is in a similar price point.

I also have the Gucci Jordaans and love the look and comfort but found the leather and the soles to be a little too supple for the wear and tear of NYC streets. Not that I'm commuting in them but I still feel theyre struggling to main their quality in my walks to and from lunch, etc.

Honestly, for a 2nd yr analyst just keep it below $200. Nobody cares in detail how you look, as long as you look presentable. Some of the Cole Haans and Mercanti Fiorenti (DSW's "high end" brand) were fine choices that lasted me just as long as any $450 - $750 shoe.
