Which Business Schools are "Worth It"

For some background: I graduated from HYPSM and I'm finishing up 2 years as an analyst at a T2 consulting firm (think LEK, Deloitte) now thinking about business school. My major was engineering but after a few less than exciting internships, I decided to go for a generalized consulting gig for the flexibility of job opportunities and more people-oriented work. I am thinking about b-school but want to take a really really targeted approach to which ones I apply to since I think I'll be paying out of pocket and not opting for my firm's school reimbursement program (really haven't discussed that yet with my company, so unsure).

I'll definitely apply to HBS, GSB, and Wharton, but I wanted to ask for some opinions about other b-schools that would add value to me personally, and of course, the resume. Should I be applying to all the M7? Berkeley, Tuck, etc.? What other schools should I look into? I am hesitant about applying to a non "top" business school since I was fortunate to go to a top undergrad and feel like that degree + some networking over the next year could get where I want to be without an MBA.

As far as career goals, I'm pretty interested in transitioning to an ops/investing role in a PE/growth/early stage firm since I am in a group that did a lot of M&A work.

Stats wise: GPA: 3.65, GMAT: TBD, stupidly didn't take it during summer after graduation, but after some practice tests I think I can get within the average range of most of the top schools.
