What do you fill in as gender/race for tests?

I did the pymetrics test for JPM S&T and at the end they asked me about my race and gender to supposedly make it fair for diversity candidates. I would assume that an algorithm that's fair doesn't know anything about your race and gender. What should I fill in?

I actually like the test, was fun, but I did some research on the Pymetrics company and something tells me they have a very clear political agenda.

What if their supposedly bias-free algorithm creates a negative bias for a specific combination of race & gender?

EDIT: I'm an idiot and I didn't see you didn't have to answer, but still... I think my argument holds. To create an algorithm that's entirely free from gender and race bias, you simply don't use gender and race as a parameter. Am I missing something or not?

Also, don't want to moan about how life's unfair or other crap like that. The main thing that worries me is that they have absolutely no reason to have this data. Your employer asks it because they want to make a diverse class or whatever which is fair, but a 3rd party HR company that tests people on random skills... A bit strange

Would make sense for HireVue for example (where the camera input could create a negative bias for certain people) but not for this company. Your only input is how you react in certain situations which require no type of specific knowledge. It's like playing a stupid game like pac-man. The only thing you need to know is how to read .

Or you just are what you are. You get hired or you don't.

The business world, by and large, isn't made up of "SJWs" and "MAGA hat wearing 'Mericans." Most people are there to collect a paycheck.

If OP isn't hired by JPM, it won't be because he's a white male.

Just write that you're an asexual ginger leprechaun and the first of your kin to attend high school. If you don't get an interview, you send a tweet in AOC's direction and get her to shame Jamie Dimon until they give you an internship, no questions/interviews asked.

I don't know... Yeah. Almost definitely yes.

Its mega manipulative and beyond unfortunate. I avoid those questions at all costs, and I am a woman. I don't need a handout, you don't need to know. Racial and gender questions should not be there, and I hope that we all work together to pass a law to abolish that inquiry.

This is the only correct idea. This eliminates the increasingly growing resentment "non-minority" groups have, which is totally justified considering HR is screening them out of consideration solely based on SJW ideology. As a result, members of those "non-minority" groups assume those individuals who were hired from those "minority" groups (women, certain races, LGBT, etc...) primarily on the basis of favorable treatment which creates a terrible cultural dynamic and does a huge disservice to high performers from those "minority" groups who can compete and achieve based on their merits.

Leftists in America are insanely hypocritical - they wish for a race/sexuality blind society while simultaneously advocating for favorable hiring treatment of certain races and sexuality. The cognitive dissonance..

Exactly. I really hope that together, we work to change this. It can't be done alone. If I could change that alone, it would have been done already!

Those with power and teamwork, are needed. It's fucking everybody over. Sheer stupidity. Down the road, it will become more apparent how those claiming marginalization or bias, those playing hard in the game of competitive victimization, and winning... will be the exact same ones who are most guilty of injustice, acting like a perp, partaking in the most irrational, inhumane behavior.

And we need better academics. More scrutiny, and accountability from those who hold clout in academia. I could write a book on this topic, right now, at this moment. I'm not going to though. I get heated with this topic.

Why is LGBT considered diversity? Can't anyone claim to associate with the group?
