Can someone explain to me why GS Merchant Banking are the ones leading some deals and not their Realty arm?

Realty Division is the asset management arm (managing the properties after acquisition). Merchant Bank does the acquisitions
These are all debt funds
Still applies, just replace properties with loans. They acquired Archon group, a loan asset manager, which is now housed in GS realty management division
