Company owns a REIT , but result is not consolidated?
Hi everyone,
I’m new to this, so please pardon me if my question is very basic. If a company that owns more than 50% of a REIT, do they need to consolidate the REIT’s result into its own result?
Thank you
A single company can not own more than 50% of a reit. In fact the five largest share holders of a reit can not own more than 50% of it all combined.
